Orlie White was a minister in the United Methodist Church. He preached his first sermon at the Methodist Church in Poteet, Texas, on June 8, 1958. Over the course of the next forty-one years, he had the pleasure of working with congregations in Poteet, Woodlawn, and Schulenburg, Texas, at St. Paul's and St. Mark's United Methodist Churches in Tucson, Arizona, at Riviera United Methodist Church in Redondo Beach, California, and at the First United Methodist Church of Escondido.
He retired from being a full-time minister in 1999 after forty-one years of service in the United Methodist Church.
He passed away from complications due to COVID in December, 2020. He was predeceased by his wife, Claudine, who passed away in November, 2019. He is survived by his four sons and their families.
